1971 F100 Ford Truck odometer: 499,000 Miles. VIN: F10GRL02269
Solid running 1971 F100, 302, 2bbl, C4 trans. Tons of new and used parts go with it. New water pump, fuel pump. alternator, lots of new and used electrical, hoses, belts, interior bits, exterior bits, door glass - the list goes on.
It has dents, scratches and rust holes but runs really well except the axle seals and differential oozing (I just top off the diff a couple of timea a year) -- you might fix this but I drive it and so can you! This is RWD with good tires. The right-front brake drum is scored, I like a challenge when I hit the brakes hard - prepare for a left pull.
If you're looking for a solid work truck that you can work on yourself at a good price this is for you.
This is a cantankerous coldblooded bitch, she has a propensity to flood when parked on a hill (I have a trick to start it though)
Very recent new steering box from Summit and a Holly factory reman carb. Does not burn any oil, no engine or transmission noise or leaks - like I said this is a solid truck it's just old. I rebuilt the engine and transmission in 1995 so there's about 45K miles on it since then (I have records).
